Prezly vs Tumblr

Prezly is a great alternative to Tumblr as it allows you to set up your own blog, site and start publishing in no-time. It comes with a CRM + outreach functions. Batteries included

Tumbl History

Tumblr was great to quickly set-up a site and start publishing. In 2013 it sold to Yahoo. Yahoo was sold to AOL which by itself was sold to Verizon. Oh my...And what can a phone company do with a publication platform? Or is it a social media platform.

After a few years of being passed around in 2019 it was finally acquired by Automatic. The years of bad management made Tumblr a whim of what is was before.

Tumblr as a Social Media Network

If you're looking for an alternative to Tumblr as a social media network our question would be Why?

Since Automatic acquired Tumblr it's repositioning into a social media network primarily. Not sure on what the future holds but we're not in a position to what's good or bad about Tumblr as a social media network.

Tumblr as a Publishing Platform

A more interesting part of Tumblr are the (micro)blogging capabilities. If you are looking for an alternative publishing platform you should check out Prezly.

In terms of pure features, Prezly does noticeably more than Tumblr — but that's only really useful if you're looking for more features from your (micro) blogging platform.
